Consor North America, Inc. (“Consor”), a leading engineering firm at the forefront of intelligent, future-ready infrastructure, today announced the acquisition of ConeLabs Inc. (“ConeLabs”), a pioneering technology company transforming how critical infrastructure is inspected, assessed, and managed.
ConeLabs’ proprietary inspection platform converts field imagery into highly detailed 3D digital twins, using AI-assisted analysis to identify defects and transform complex infrastructure data into actionable intelligence. The platform delivers breakthrough speed and accessibility, enabling infrastructure owners to conduct more comprehensive assessments, gain deeper insights into asset conditions, and make faster, better-informed maintenance and investment decisions. Through partnerships with departments of transportation across multiple states, ConeLabs has demonstrated the platform’s effectiveness in infrastructure inspection and assessment applications.
“ConeLabs’ platform represents the next evolution in infrastructure inspection, and this acquisition is consistent with our commitment to innovating and leveraging technology to advance our solutions,” said Mindy Shimanek, CEO, Consor. “Our structural assessment professionals are nationally recognized for their technical expertise, helping shape industry practices through specialized training and standards development. By combining our expertise with ConeLabs’ cutting-edge technology, we’re creating new possibilities for how infrastructure is managed, helping clients make more proactive, data-informed decisions.”
“Joining Consor gives us the opportunity to deploy our technology into some of the most sophisticated structural inspection work in the industry and apply it across large, complex infrastructure programs,” said Albert Mansour, CEO and Co-Founder, ConeLabs. “From our earliest conversations, we saw a strong cultural and technical fit with a team that shares our belief that technology should be built around how engineers work, giving them better tools to understand infrastructure conditions. Consor brings the engineering expertise, industry relationships, and scale to accelerate our innovation while maintaining the technical rigor and quality that infrastructure owners expect.”
Consor is backed by New Mountain Capital, a leading growth-oriented investment firm with nearly $60 billion in assets under management. ConeLabs was previously backed by a number of investors, including Spatial Capital.
