With nearly 30 years of experience, Dr. Michael LeRoux uses Telehealth to bring individualized sports performance, injury prevention and rehab to athletes.
FOXBOROUGH, MA, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — For nearly 30 years, Dr. Michael LeRoux has worked with athletes whose bodies have very different jobs to do.
A figure skater landing a jump does not place the same demands on the body as a golfer rotating through a swing. A baseball pitcher needs different shoulder stability, rotational power and recovery than an equestrian athlete needs for balance, hip mobility and core control.
That understanding is at the center of LeRoux’s approach at Ocean State Chiropractic & Sports Rehabilitation (OSC), with offices in Foxborough, Massachusetts and Portsmouth, Rhode Island—and increasingly, through Telehealth.
His idea is simple: Your sport doesn’t have to come to Michael. Michael can come to your sport.
Through one-on-one Telehealth sessions, athletes can work with LeRoux from the court, course, rink, barn, field, gym or home. With a phone or tablet positioned where he can observe movement, LeRoux can work with athletes on functional movement, mobility, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, rehabilitation and the specific physical demands of their sport.
It is an extension of an approach LeRoux has developed over nearly three decades working with recreational, competitive, collegiate, elite and professional athletes across the United States and internationally.
LeRoux has worked with athletes in sports including figure skating, baseball, football, golf, tennis and equestrian disciplines. Rather than beginning with a generic treatment protocol, he begins with the athlete, the sport and what that athlete’s body needs to be able to do.
“Every sport asks something different of the body,” said LeRoux. “I want to see how the athlete actually moves, understand what their sport requires and build the work around that. Telehealth gives me the ability to see them where they actually train and perform.”
That distinction also reflects why LeRoux describes his work as more than traditional chiropractic care.
Chiropractic is one service within OSC. Depending on the individual and the setting, LeRoux’s broader approach may incorporate functional movement assessment, sports rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, mobility, injury prevention, recovery and return-to-sport work.
For an athlete recovering from an injury, eliminating pain may only be the beginning.
An athlete can feel better before being physically prepared to return to competition. LeRoux’s work focuses on rebuilding the strength, mobility, stability, power and confidence required by the athlete’s actual sport.
Getting better isn’t the same as getting back.
Telehealth can also give LeRoux a perspective that is difficult to recreate inside a treatment room. A golfer can position a camera where LeRoux can observe the swing. An equestrian can work from the barn or riding environment. A tennis player can be seen on the court. An athlete can demonstrate the movement that causes difficulty rather than simply describing it afterward.
The result is a highly individualized model built around a simple philosophy:
See the movement. Understand the demand. Build the work around the athlete.
LeRoux maintains physical practices at Ocean State Chiropractic & Sports Rehabilitation in Foxborough, Massachusetts and Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Telehealth availability depends on the patient’s location, LeRoux’s professional licensure and the nature of the service being provided.
